Non-Credit Course and Conference Administrative Policies
Information on
Fees, Refunds and More
Minimum and Maximum Enrollment
Some continuing education courses and conferences are
offered contingent on enrolling a minimum number of
learners. If minimum enrollment is not met, the
course may be cancelled, in which case tuition and
fees are fully refunded. In other cases, enrollment
may be limited to a maximum, with enrollment processed
on a first come/first served basis. Applicants will
be notified if not accepted into the course or conference.
Materials Policy
Refunds on materials vary by program.
Registration and Fees
Course and conference prices vary by program. Full payment for courses/conferences is typically due at the time of registration; however, some may require a deposit with the balance to be paid before the conference begins. In accordance with Board of Regents policy, EU courses and conferences do not qualify for veteran/faculty/staff fee waivers. Financial aid is not available for non-credit courses.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
Cancellations before the course or conference begins
will be assessed a processing fee. There will
be no refunds after the course or conference begins.
Occasionally programs have special refund policies
which are stated in the course description.
Continuing Education Units
CEU offerings vary by program. Some conferences
offer continuing education units as part of the registration
fee. Most courses offer optional CEUs. There
is a flat fee of $25.00, due at time of registration.
The fee is not refundable.
Refunds for Military/Emergency Service
EU will abide by the Montana State University policy
regarding students who are called to military and/or
emergency service. Under extraordinary circumstances
and with appropriate documentation, EU will refund
100% tuition or fees to learners who are delayed or
disrupted by their official/emergency duties from attending
as scheduled.
