MSU Extended University
 At Extended University we believe that lifelong learning and exploring new ideas and methods for learning to occur is crucial to enriching education and improving quality of life. By utilizing technology, mobilizing the rich resources of our campus and extended community, and forging partnerships, we help students of all ages take advantage of the learning opportunities that great instruction and emerging technologies make possible.
At Extended University we focus our efforts in three primary areas:
- Office of Continuing Education: Offering unique learning opportunities to all ages...for credit, professional development or just for fun
- Distance Degree and Certificate Programs: Providing courses, certificates and degrees for non-traditional students and busy lifestyles
- Burns Technology Center: Exploring and presenting new resources to better utilize technology in teaching and learning
Extended University is an outreach center of Montana State University and is largely funded by fees for service, grants and contracts and private donations.
