Peaks and Potentials Camp

Dates: June 19-24, 2016
Grades: 5-7 (in Fall 2016)
Location: Montana State University, Bozeman, MT

Peaks and Potentials summer enrichment camp gives high ability/high potential students the opportunity to explore special topics of interest and work with experts in various subject areas. Academic, recreational and social activities offer students a chance to interact with their peers and sample campus life. Students may stay on campus or commute each day.

Explore, Make and Discover in the Big Sky

This exciting summer program will explore the environment of the Big Sky and its relationship to architecture. Through the activities of hiking and rock climbing, students will explore the world around them as inspiration for design.

Students will work with a variety of materials and at different scales, individually and collectively, to build spaces here in the Gallatin Valley of Montana. They will experience the hands-on studio environment of a college architecture program and see the exciting opportunities in the profession of architecture.

MSU Explore: Earth & Space Science Camp

MSU Explore: Earth and Space Science Camp logoDates: June 26-July 1, 2016

Grades: 6-8 (Fall 2016)
Location: Montana State University, Bozeman

MSU Explore: Earth & Space Science Camp is a no-cost camp for students entering grades 6-8 in Fall 2016. It is a residential camp where participants will take workshops of their choice. Workshop topics may include black holes, life on Mars, weather and climate, microbes to gases, writing Sci-Fi stories and much more.

Students will also sample life on campus during recreational and social activities.

MSU Explore is for kids who may not have attended a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) camp or had access to an MSU opportunity like this before. Students from low-income families and communities, rural areas, or those who will be first in their family to attend college are highly encouraged to apply.

Students must complete an application and have two (2) adult references.

Expanding Your Horizons in Math and Science (EYH)

This one-day conference includes hands-on workshops in the fields of math and science for girls in grades 6, 7, and 8. The purpose of the program is to encourage young women to participate in these academic areas.
