MSU to study continuing education needs in Big Sky

Two Montana State University organizations were recently awarded $57,000 from the Big Sky Resort Tax Fund to explore the educational needs of people who live and work in Big Sky.

One of those organizations, the Big Sky Institute, is an interdisciplinary science and education institute with offices on the MSU campus and in Big Sky. The other organization, MSU Extended University, offers distance learning and other non-traditional educational programs.

The project, called the Big Sky Community Education Partnership, will assess community needs, create a high-tech distance learning facility at the BSI office in Big Sky and develop a community education program based on the findings of a comprehensive community needs assessment. Educational offerings could range from employee training to degree completion to lifelong learning. More >>>
