Information on Auditing, Dropping, Refunds and More

Previous Page

Minimum and Maximum Enrollment: Some continuing education courses are offered contingent on a minimum number of learners. If the minimum enrollment for a course is not met, the course may be cancelled. Tuition and fees are fully refunded when a course is cancelled. Enrollment may be limited and applicants will be notified if not accepted into a course.

Top

Auditing a Course: Requests to audit a course are only accepted through the second week of the course and must be approved by the instructor. Students must submit their request to the instructor. If approved, the student and the instructor should contact the registration coordinator at 406-994-7027 or ContinuingEd@montana.edu regarding any change of status. Please note that there are no reduced tuition rates for students auditing courses.

Top

Graduate Level Course: Courses numbered 500 and above are considered graduate level courses. Students wishing to take a graduate level course must be a graduate student (degree seeking or non-degree seeking) or must petition the Graduate Office if an undergraduate student. The petition must be filed in the Graduate Office prior to registering for the course and petitions could be denied due to the student's ineligibility. A student failing to follow these requirements will not receive credit for the course.

Top

Materials Policy: Most courses will not provide a refund on materials.

Top

Registration and Fees: Course prices vary by program. Full payment is due at the time of registration. Financial Aid may be available; please check with the financial aid office. Extended University courses do not qualify for staff, faculty, or veteran fee waivers.
